Wedding Venue & Date

Had pay the deposit and confirm our wedding banquet venue with Peninsula Excelsior Hotel for the date 12 Nov 2011. Wedding dinner will be held in the ballroom. Though the building of Peninsula Excelsior Hotel looks kind of old but the interior looks pretty nice and cosy.

As for the ballroom we quite like it, simple and nice. Though there are 3 pillars but its not so bad cos they are not that big and bulky. The only concern is the carpark. The carpark is rather small and the hotel only provide us with 30 lots. Try asking for more but was rejected. Well..will have to ask some guests to use the nearest carpark at Funan.

Food wise not much comments found. Hopefully the food taste ok. Food is prepared by their in-house banquet chef. We won't know until the food tasting 2 months before the actual day. Another item less on the list :)

After Dinner Snack @ Sweet Spring

Dinner at the foodcourt was not filling enough so we decided to try this Dim Sum outlet located at level 2 of AMK Hub :)

Our unit #12-164 is up (The unit at the left)

With the planter box attached to the living room window. Hopefully can get the key to the flat by 3rd quarter or best is earlier. Give 2 ~ 3 months time to reno the house. Then after customary can move in le... :) . Currently building is the 13th level which is the last level already.

Recently had visited the ballrooms of the venue we shortlisted and had chosen Amara Hotel as our wedding banquet venue.
The ballroom of Amara is a rectangle shape with no pillar. Which is what i wan :) The first time i saw the ballroom, i fall in love with it. We can choose
one out of the 4 themes they offers. The reception area is also very spacious which guests can mingle around if they reach early. Most importantly it is withnin our budget.

The coordinator of Amara also did bother to follow up with us after sending us the quotation to go down for site inspection. And yes i just received a call from the coordinator this afternoon after the site inspection.

Unlike Orchard Parade Hotel which was my top choice (cos of the food they serve is under TungLok Group which is quite well-known). Went down to see the ballroom of OPH kind of squeezy (and with pillar) and the service of the coordinator just make mi strike this hotel off the list. The coordinator din even bother to follow up after the site inspection. So i guess i will rather pay abit more for the service and ambience of Amara.

Initially was worried that we cannot meet the minimum requirement of 25 tables..But after calculating his side and my side..just nice we met the requirements..

Now waiting for a date before we can book. We will be looking at 4th quarter 2011 preferably in Nov/Dec 2011. Had engage Master David Tong to help us to calculate a date that is suitable for both of us using our BaiZi. He is highly recommended in SGBrides that is y we decided to engage him and will be meeting him on the 27 April once we got the date will proceed to book le.. Hopefully the date we want is still available as i see already got ppl book for next year Dec le...so fast sia..haha..Well...singaporean spirit ma...

This month will be Ahboy last month in his current company. He will be joining another new company. Hope everything runs smoothly for him. <3 <3 <3
